BLUE SHORTS TEST
SATURDAY MAY 14th, 2016
TIME: 9AM | COST: $100
LOCATION: SIAM №1 – LANSDOWNE
10 RULES:
1ST RULE: You do not self-nominate to gain eligibility ****
2ND RULE: You have not graduated to the blue shorts level yet, please wear the correct shorts color – which is yellow.
3RD RULE: You must be able to do the entire warm-up, including 10 minutes of skipping.
4TH RULE: Again… You DO NOT self-nominate to gain eligibility! Ajahn Suchart or appointed Kru or Kru-Yai select you based on their certified discretion. They know when you are ready.
5TH RULE: Once you have been deemed ready, sign the facebook event wall with your FULL REAL name. NO Nicknames please. Mention your short size S,M,L,XL,XXL and the school you are training from and who nominated you. Don’t have facebook? Then email your info INFO@SIAMNO1.COM with the subject line: BLUE SHORTS TEST.
6TH RULE: Registration deadline MAY 9. this goes for all applicants, Krus and Kru-Yai who nominate them. We need to make sure shorts are available for everyone in attendance. If you register AFTER the deadline, you are not guaranteed shorts. RESPECT the deadline.
7TH RULE: PAYMENT is on the morning of the Blue Shorts Test date, with the EXACT and FULL amount posted on the event, unless your gym is supplying the shorts. DO NOT PAY IN LOOSE CHANGE!
8TH RULE: It is very wise to bring your own container for water, as we do NOT sell water; and be sure to take your water bottle with you.
9TH RULE: When you have finished the test, remain respectfully seated. Ajahn and the Krus have a special presentation for you that must be respected. DO NOT hit the bags, DO NOT use the weights, DO NOT spar with others. If you have that much energy AFTER your turn at the TEST, you were NOT trying hard enough.
10TH RULE: There is only ONE BLUE SHORTS TEST in your life, so put forth your best effort, and take it seriously because when you graduate from the basics, the REAL training starts.
Earning Blue shorts from Siam №1 is a HUGE accomplishment! There is LOTS of time to prepare, so show up to class at your respective schools ON TIME and TRAIN hard and demonstrate to your Ajahn, Kru Yais, Krus, PooChoi Krus and fellow students you are ready!

For everyone who attended the first Poo Choi Kru seminar and for new Poo Chois, you are welcome to attend the 2nd seminar of the year.
This seminar is going to focus on a number of key leadership components including:
1. Teaching proper technique to beginners
2. Ongoing learning of pad holding and pad holding drills
3. Proper technique and safety for partner drills
4. Ways to motivate students through martial arts culture
5. Building Thai language and vocabulary for Muay Thai instruction
Please bring notepad and pen or lap top for note taking. Please come dressed for physical practice.

KRU OF MUAY THAI DAY
A CULTURAL CELEBRATION

This year I continue to do the Kru of Muay Thai Day. The celebration will be traditional to build the culture, build the passion and the traditional for the next generation.
I would like to invite all my Kru Yai, Kru, students and affiliation to come and celebrate and join together.
This year there will be special presentations, ceremony, speeches that will be a big part of the event. There will be in house demos to mark the event as well but this is a special Muay Thai Day.

KRU SEMINAR
SUNDAY FEBRUARY 21st, 2016
TIME: 11AM to 3PM | COST: $100
LOCATION: SIAM №1 – LANSDOWNE
This first seminar of the year will explore 3 areas:
1. The knowledge and physical skill at the Kru level of the Kru.
2. The development of skills to teach students, at the next level.
3. How to properly prepare the fighters, particular new fighters who have 1-5 fights.
4. Cultural component: Understanding the difference between cultures – Thai cultural and martial art culture.
Krus are to come prepared for physical training and to listen and document information.
GRAN SEMINARIO DE MUAY THAI

LOCATION: SIAM №1 – LANSDOWNE
Intended for Kru Yais and Krus to pass along information to their Poo Choi Krus to attend and learn and grow. Poo Chois, please confirm with your Kru your attendance.
Details of the Seminar for Poo Choi: FEBRUARY 7th 2016 This seminar is the first of 4 for the year. Poo Chois must attend all four Poo Choi seminars to build their qualification and to progress.
This first seminar will focus on: How to improve oneself first and to teach beginners. To be a leader, a teacher there is a level of knowledge and achievement.
Self development: technically, physically, content knowledge prepared to teach others.
Seminar includes:
Pad work technique
Heavy bag work
Seminar – note taking
Each Poo Choi please bring a notebook that you will gather notes to keep for reference.
