WHAT TO BRING
BRING WHAT YOU WOULD NORMALLY TO EXERCISE IN COMFORTABLY.
We recommend shorts and a t-shirt and a bottle of water. Shoes are not required and you may notice the vast majority are barefoot. You may bring an extra set of running shoes to train indoors with clean soles so as not to transfer debris onto the training floor that may injure or create unsanitary conditions. Also, if you have hand wraps and bag gloves, please bring them as they are part of the daily curriculum. If you do not have hand wraps or bag gloves, check with the ProShop at the front to purchase if you do not want to use the house loaner equipment.
YES, you are required to fill out the Trial section on the membership form as well as the PAR-Q form which is a mandatory requirement by the government for all facilities similar in nature of physical training. If you are under the age of 18, your parent or guardian are required to sign for you to participate at Siam №1.
UNIFORM
NO, it is not required to buy a Muay Thai uniform for trying out the class.
THE BASIC UNIFORM CONSISTS OF TRADITIONAL (YELLOW FOR BEGINNERS) MUAY THAI SHORTS and hand wraps and a t-shirt to train it if you prefer as a man or are required to as a woman. The uniform communicates a sense of community and respect to Thai culture. In 100% of respectable traditional martial arts facilities, a uniform is not uncommon and a requirement.
ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT
ANKLE GUARDS ARE PREFERENTIAL TO THE INDIVIDUAL. The other listed equipment is required for safety during contact while sparring.
